A little tidbit about this Vriska, is that she hails from the Capitol city, where all the games are put on for a show and where the tributes come to play. She's born to a nameless wealthy dead father and a mother who let her do whatever she wants, however, the latter of which made sure to enroll her in self-defense classes to make sure she is prepared to fight. That's because her mother was actually a past participant in one of the Hunger Games. She has associates and while growing up made sure to pay attention to every class she's taken in school, only so that she can be called the best. Right now though, she's about in her late teens, likely seventeenth, and has a few nameless associates she's known for years. Like most Panem citizens, she likes to watch the Hunger Games, although over the years has also taken to betting with her 'friends' on who will win.

However, she's increasingly become more curious with the games in particular, and of course devising plans to find out more with the new tributes who have come off-world. The closest she's ever going to get right now is being a (personal) hair stylist/fashion job for the tributes, which is something she's managed to slip her way into.

Presentation:

She has been commonly known by her friends mostly for her bitchiness that could be summed up by these words 'bluh bluh huge bitch' and everyone would know who exactly you were talking about. Even if it happens to be just one part of her personality, it certainly is a part of her that will have a hard time disappearing. She is someone who would complain about anything ever if it annoys her, and if she finds a situation boring she wouldn't hesitate to complain there. In fact, she may even take it a step further and try to make it a little more exciting -- usually by being antagonistic in her own insufferable ways. Fortunately, it seems she may be less likely for her to use very extreme measures to manipulate her way to get what she wants. Although, if the situation presents itself that she has to it doesn't mean that she wouldn't consider it. And of course, possibly actually go along with the idea.

She also loves to roleplay, although her "characters" that she has "invented" just for this -- Marquis Spinneret Mindfang (based on what she believes to be a fictional character) and her spidersona -- appear to be less than joyful to interact with her (if not somehow worse). In this universe, she also makes a hobby out of occasionally seeking out her associates/friends for D&D/live roleplay sessions when having nothing else better to do.

Vriska happens to be someone who would always like to have the situation go the way she wanted, and if it doesn't she can be prone to acting out on her feelings of disappointment. Needless to say this happens to include lots of yelling or whining with excessive amounts of complaining, but beyond that probably nothing else because she isn't really a fan of getting physical unless she needs to. She is also somewhat prone to using gratuitous amounts of Not Listening moments when someone in particular attempts to get her to do something she doesn't want to do. Which can include trying to get her to do the 'right' thing, depending.

Not to mention that she is the type who you would refer to as being "sly" although not in the way you think she would be. She is capable of making plans up on the fly, although her manipulation prowess relies actually more on her own efforts than one would usually think. In this universe, it likely involves her throwing around her influence or forcibly getting it done (if the situation presents itself as her having to do so).

She can be pretty dead-set on achieving her goals when she sets them, placing her best efforts into them to make sure she succeeds. Her determination is almost neverending in this retrospect and it would be hard to dissuade her from continuing forth when she has it in her mind to win. After all, if there is one thing Vriska likes the most it is being a winner. Like that desire, her confidence, or rather arrogance is deeper than the indian ocean, and where at least half of the bitchiness comes from. Then again, it isn't something that isn't without substance -- she is known as someone who can defend herself well enough.

Like her canon counterpart she has a fixation with the number 8, but is not too typed up about it as much as other her is.

She does have a vulnerable side, although masks it pretty damn well. She doesn't want to appear weak, and would rather appear strong at all costs to an insane amount of stubbornness, likely borne of the society she's grown up in or just because that's how she came to be. Then there is the fact that she can also be willing to help someone she genuinely cares about, although however she goes about doing that can appear that she is just being antagonistic depending on who she is helping and how she feels about them.

There is another thing to note about Vriska, however. For all of her antics where she is shown to be quite paranoid and distrustful of others, she can show the ability to place a remarkable show of trust in other people. Although however that lasts would honestly depend on how long she speaks to or knows the person in question.

Unlike the canon Vriska, she is also more relaxed in general, and probably wouldn't resort to flat out violence unless she felt her life was in danger. Probably because she doesn't believe she needs to worry about dying anytime soon, and plans on having the time of her life as long as she can. As a result, however, she is more chill and likely not to flip out/be so callous mid-conversation unless someone succeeds in annoying the shit out of her. She is also more spoiled, having lived a life rife with little to no problems, which could prove problematic all on its own.

She has a lot to learn.

Motivations:

There's a lot going on inside. Although likely mostly addressed above, Vriska always feels the need to excel or prove herself better. There are many reasons for this and one of them in this universe is because if she's seen as better, she believes she will become liked by all. Not to mention getting all the attention, and that is a good thing in her book. Even if she was brought up like any other Panem Citizen that was completely normal, she naturally wants to see herself above the rest. Plus, it's not all motivated by wanting fame; if she has a lot of people liking her she can have more friends.

Although at the core for her motivation of wanting to be the best would be due to her mother expecting a lot out of her and she doesn’t really want to let her down.

Setting:

In the beginning, Vriska would likely not have to worry about much. Although if/when things do start affecting her, she will react adversely because as much as she tries to be amazing, she really only feels that in order to survive she would likely need to lash out. Or even just start planning actively against other people. This is just a template however, and these plans could change depending on her interactions with others.

SAMPLES
First Person Thread: An example of a first person post, at least 200 words minimum. Feel free to use introspection and scene setting if your character is not chatty. Please use one of the two following prompts:

For Capitols OCs and AUs: For Capitols OCs and AUs: Somehow you ended up privy to a private post just gushing about how much they just LOVE the new games, how they think they are the best thing since sliced bread. Then the poster (Your friend? Some random person from a party who decided they wanted to send you their private thoughts? A rival trying to pin you into an uncomfortable spot?) namesdrops you for your opinion on the new format, versus the quaint, old-fashion style of the game.

Everyone on the broadcast is just waiting for your input.

Hah. You're asking me????????

Personally I think it'll just mean it's going to 8e more entertaining. I mean, it's not like we knew the tri8utes really well when they were from whatever district they happened to 8e. Now that we've got some really strange people up there, it's going to paint a different show. Which I don't really mind! I've 8een getting kind of 8ored of the usual shit they've 8een putting up on the screen. One thing is for sure, though. I'm going to make sure I don't really miss one 8it of it. I mean if you do, then you're a8solutely lame and likely just missing out. I'm pretty sure everyone can agree with me on this.

Also, when you look at it, you can 8et this is a 8etter outcome for us all. I know some people are weenies and have some reserv8tions a8out watching people die on screen, 8ut they're in the minority. Technically you can say these new people aren't really, you know, people? I've never really spoken to them, 8ut that's just my view on it. It just makes watching the games easier now for a lot of other people, who I don't know, 8ut they pro8a8ly wish I did.

Now, I'm going to go gra8 something at the store. If you really need me for something else, drop me a line at the usual. Just remem8er I have a massage scheduled l8r tonight so don't try to text me when I'm a8out to walk in or I'll tell you to scram. See ya.

Prose: 200 word minimum. To mimic the spirit of capriciousness within this game, please write your third person sample based on the following prompt:

You have been set in a room in front of the Gamemakers to be judged on a score of one to twelve, with one being the lowest and twelve being the highest. The Gamemakers sit safely behind a force field and watch, and you are provided with an array of weapons and targets, though no gun to be seen.

If you are someone from Panem, then you are very unlucky. You know what's going on but... you were told all the tributes were from a foreign land now. So why are you in front of the Gamemakers fighting for your life now? Are you a criminal, a traitor, deeply in debt? Or do you even know why you were shoved in to this room?

Vriska had always heard that her mother informed her about being on the lookout, but the brunette didn't really think that it would really apply to her unless someone tried to come out at her at a dark ally with a knife or some crap like that. She considered herself to be someone who had a lot of luck, but to be honest, she knew she could land herself in some bad situations. She just didn't think it would wind up being something like this. Now, the first time she'd heard the news she had reacted in a very calm manner. Okay. No, really, she hadn't. She had ran straight to the bathroom and punched out a mirror, but now she was actually here and it wasn't a joke she could feel her throat tight like someone had sewn it shut.

Her hair was tied up in a pony tail so it wouldn't get in her face and she was in the typical gear. There was deadly silence on the other end from whence she could feel their watchful stares instead. She honestly doesn't know why but she can't get herself to move. She's been trained for years to know how to defend herself or at least be able to fend for herself when she couldn't get help. Well, Vriska figures she should try to at least get her head in the game and look at her options for showing off.

In front of her there was a knife, placed in a container of some type and a small square area of dirt where there was fruit lying there. There was a variety, of which she was supposed to sort, and what not. There was also some sticks with a little bit of rope. She tried to remember quickly the lessons in her head, before getting to it, and grabbing the knife. She began to separate the small bits of her fruit into different categories before moving to put the poisonous ones out in plain view, while cutting to pieces most of the sticks and used them to cover the good fruit. Vriska put two sticks in the soil-- the biggest ones. Then she began to wrap some of the rope around two sticks she put in the ground to make a low ground trap so theoretically if someone came on by their foot would get snagged on the rope and they'd fall over.

She was done, and hoped that it would be good enough.

What is your character scored: 8.

Additional information: Question specifically for certain character types. Feel free to ignore if it does not apply to your character type. Please answer all that do (For example, a past victor AU would answer both their question, and the past victory question)

Hunger Games AU and OC: What is your reasoning for the capitol to include your canon doppelganger if they app in? What district is your character from? How do they feel about home?

Vriska in this AU is from Panem, the capitol city. Her canon verse self seems to already be in, although if they hadn't been, the reasoning for the capitol would've been that it could cause an interesting amount of conflict on both sides likely. It would provide a good show for all those involved, to say the least, having two of the same person (with notable differences) on either side. She feels relatively excited to be living in the city and finds herself wanting to become more involved in the on-goings of the Hunger Games.
